The U.S. Senate could vote as early as Tuesday to force President Obama to build the disastrous Keystone XL pipeline. We urgently need your help to make sure that doesn’t happen. The 1,700-mile pipeline would, every day, carry up to 35 million gallons of oil strip-mined from Canada’s “tar sands” -- some of the dirtiest, most climate-hostile fuels on the planet. One leading climate scientist says Keystone XL will be “game over” for our ability to avoid a climate catastrophe. It would also cut through rivers, streams, and wildlife habitat for at least 20 imperiled species, including whooping cranes and pallid sturgeon. If we’re going to stop Keystone XL in its tracks, we need to show massive opposition. Right now that means calling on your senators to reject an amendment that cuts the public out of the process and immediately allows Keystone XL to move forward.
Keystone XL is not worth the staggering risks to people, wildlife and a healthy climate.Take action here: http://action.biologicaldiversity.org/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY...
