I'm opposed to all current gun control proposals. Please support the
2nd amendment. Gun bans, background checks, and registries are not the
answer, and they fail the intent of the 2nd amendment. It is unfortunate that Maryland is considering such stringent
proposals, since the state will bear the brunt of legal challenges to
unconstitutional laws. Hasn't Maryland had enough of such shenanigans.
It is a waste of our tax dollars. Mental health provisions are dangerous for many reasons, but foremost
that people will avoid treatment to retain their rights, and legal
challenges will be unlikely due to the injustice of mental illness
stigma. Legislators should not dragnet the mental health of our
community. Gun ban restrictions are ridiculous and unreasoned, because they will
not prevent any crime or act of violence. It is really absurd. Our
rights should not be challenged in the pursuit of hysterical agendas
and slim temporary majorities. The cost is too high. Regards,
