I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
Thomas JeffersonWars and standing armies do not come out of nowhere, and the banking organizations are the ones who provide the money to field the troops. This fact is substantiated by the lending patterns to the US government following on 9/11, which was a major factor precipitating the financial crisis. Apparently, the banking organizations felt comfortable enough with the dubious war pretext in order to provide the funds. One wonders what else they are into? Of course, the nasty PR campaigns come to mind, in which people become convinced to hold views that are contrary to their own interests, and which are profitable only to an already wealthy few. Who knows what other awful things they are doing! I will confess to past reticence to attribute malignity to the US financial institutions, because it seemed too conspiratorial to me. No longer. I was outraged by the foreclosure mill scandals, which demonstrated that money greed is more important to these moral cretins than actual peoples lives. It is crucial to understand that they do not deserve our sympathy or protection. We should do whatever we can to support the #Occupy movement in their aims to hold the banks accountable. It deserves action. Regards
