WW2 War Effort Poster.

Maggie Koerth-Baker’s excellent article – Oil spill: Here’s What You Can Do to Help reminded me of  the WW2 sentiment of conservation in a time of crisis.

Oil spills happen year after year, all over the globe. As I scouted for creative commons images, I came up on this one by Igor Golubenkov. This photo’s from 2007 after a spill in the Black Sea.
