I just called on my Senators to support Senators Udall and Merkley's amendments to the Defense Authorization Act. Senator Udall's amendment removes dangerous language that would expand presidential powers to launch new wars and imprison U.S. citizens without charge or trial. And Senator Merkley's amendment to the same bill requests a plan to end U.S. war making in Afghanistan prior to December 2014.
