Project News for GNU-Darwin Distribution
Running the GIMP under GNU-Darwin
Thanks to Jeff Whitaker of for his excellent work
on the web, and on Darwin. Here is a link to his
website.http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/~jsw/macosx_xvnc/
He has given instructions for running the GIMP under Darwin that eliminate all of the most annoying problems. Just use "gimp --no-shm --no-xshm" when launching the GIMP at the command line. With shared memory off, it works great.
Because of this, we are now releasing the GIMP as part of the GNU-Darwin Distribution.

Mozilla for GNU-Darwin sources in CVS
I got all the way through nsprpub to xpcom/build. Libs xpcom and
mozjs are hacked. I built them by hand with "ar ur". It still needs much work. Have fun! Let's have
GNU-Darwin Mozilla by year 2001!

Internet Messenger for GNU-Darwin
Thanks to rrp, who ported everybuddy 0.1.5 to GNU-Darwin. It works with the AIM server, and probably with ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN as well!
(Is there an IM client for OSX?, proclus wonders.)
