I am not a journalist. It is clear to me that all expression rights enjoy equal protection as press freedom. Nonetheless, I think the journalist profession deserves much respect, and that many journalists will be interested in this article at the Huff. We have heard so many examples of media censorship by corporatists like Murdoch.
I sometimes worry that the journalistic credentials of Wikileaks and Assange are overplayed. Yes, it is true that every website deserves press freedom, but over-emphasis of journalistic freedom diminuates the fact that we all enjoy the same expression rights that journalists have. Assange does not need any special journalistic mantle to provide a shelter for what he has done, which should receive many praises.
