After giving the matter further study, I am opposed to the approval of Roundup Ready Alfalfa because of the risk of genetic contamination of organic alfalfa fields, among other concerns. I am also deeply concerned that the effect of GMO alfalfa upon human food sources, such as dairy and livestock, has not received adequate attention.Regards,

The USDA has released its environmental impact assessment on GE alfalfa. This is one of the last stages in the approval process for GMOs. Unless we raise a huge ruckus right now, you can bet that Big Ag will be sowing its GE alfalfa seeds this spring
